A Pub or Hostelry has stood on this site, we believe, since the 16th Century, although the oldest part of the Pub was knocked down in the early 1900’s to build the Stables and Coach House. This is now where the Beer Cellar and League Skittle Alley are housed.

We offer a very relaxed atmosphere that can be raised for the more special occasion and indeed do cater for Wedding Receptions and other Celebrations. Our Bar has a Flagstone Floor and boasts an Inglenook fireplace that now houses a wood burning stove along side which is a Bacon Smoking Chamber and the original bread oven.

Through what was the original front door, you will find a carpeted area for dining or just sitting and enjoying a drink. There is then a corridor, which leads to the Toilets (including a new toilet for the disabled) and to the Lounge Bar. This will then lead you into our new 40 plus seater Restaurant
